Process Studies
Process studies will investigate a particular process relevant to the cycling of trace metal and isotopes. Those studies should be endorsed by GEOTRACES SSC as a GEOTRACES study.

Also, a flow chart to guide cruise leaders who wish to develop a research programme to be designated as a GEOTRACES cruise or compliant data has been published.
Plan and status of the process studies of GEOTRACES Japan are introduced in the following table. Responsible researcher of GEOTRACES in each study is kindly requested to provide update information on the cruise to JODC with the form of pre/post cruise metadata at its e-mail address: jodc (a) jodc.go.jp.
