Bathythermograph(BT) Data

The bathythermograph (BT) data contains temperature profile data (temperature at standard depth and depth of significant temperature) from the mechanical bathythermograph (MBT), the expendable bathythermograph (XBT), the digital bathythermograph (DBT) and the airborne expendable bathythermograph (AXBT). Because they vary in quality, the way in which they are reported to JODC, and the depths at which they are recorded, the BT data are maintained in separate files. The data, however, are all recorded in the same format and may be merged if desired.

Animations of Monthly Variation for Temperature

If you have a MPEG animation viewer, you can view the animations of monthly variation for temperature which shows the changes in monthly sea temperature at sea surface and 100m depth in the North West Pacific Ocean.
