The CSK(Cooperative Study of the Kuroshio and Adjacent Regions) was implemented from 1965 to 1977 with the participants of 11 countries, in which JODC took a responsibility as Kuroshio Data Center. Based on the data corrected by the CSK project, this atlas was published. It coveres temperature, salinity and oxygen versus depth and vertical distribution.
This production was produced from JODC serial station data containing about 110,000 stations from 1907 to 1972. The atlas contains average value, maximum and minimum value and standard deviation of temperature, salinity, oxygen and density versus depth for northwestern Pacific ocean and the adjacent seas.
The concept of this atlas is just the same as the above atlas. This atlas shows particularly the results of statistic by season and by month for 0 - 200 meter depths which are likely to be influenced by seasonal change of each parameter.
This atlas was derived from JODC ocean current data for 1953 to 1977 and covered vector mean velocity, scalar mean velocity, stability, standard deviation, maximum speed, current rose.
The KER(Kuroshio Exploitation and Utilization Research) has been implemented for 9 years since 1977 with cooperation of Hydrographic Department, Meteorological Agency and Fisheries Agency. The data used in this atlas were collected from KER. This series was published up to volume 9.
This atlas covers the area 0-48N and 120-180E in the northwestern Pacific ocean and composes of 24 charts with the scales 1/2,800,000 , 1/3,500,000 and 1/4,200,000.
This atlas is produced by the visual wave observation data obtained by patrol vessels and lighthouses of Maritime Safety Agency. It contains frequency at 16 directions by area and by station, and significant wave heights by station.
This atlas is produced based on natural data(sea depth, tide, tidal current, temperature, etc.) and social data(port, harbor, platform, etc.) in Inland sea.
This issue is a summary of the publication "Quick Bulletin of Ocean Conditions" for one year, which is published twice a month by Hydrographic Department. This is available up to 1991.
Based on the data from JRK(Japan-China Joint Research Programme on the Kuroshio) from 1986 to 1992, this atlas was published alternatively by JODC and China NODC up to volume 7. The atlas covers current, dynamic depth anomaly, temperature, salinity, vertical profiles by seasons.
The data from 1905 to 1987 were used for this atlas with vector mean velocity, stability, maximum speed, current rose. This is a new version of previous one published in March 1983.
