ODV spreadsheet

ODV (Ocean Data View) is developed by Alfred Wegener Institute in Germany.
It is a free software package for the interactive exploration, analysis and visualization of oceanographic data.
ODV spreadsheet is one of supported data formats of ODV software.

NetCDF Files

NetCDF (Network Common Data Form) is an interface for array-oriented data access and a library that provides an implementation of interface. The NetCDF library also defines a machine-independent format for representing scientific data. Together, the interface, library , and format support the creation, access, and sharing of scientific data. The NetCDF software was developed at Unidata Program Center (UPAR). ODV, GMT, nc Browse and others are used for manipulating or displaying NetCDF data.
A data file for serial stations consists of data at one station and that for ocean currents consists of one cruises data. Such data files are conbined and commpressed into a Zip file for download.
